The plastic *ball toy is fun for birds of any size. Select the parts for your bird -- big or small.

Parts:

How to assemble the toy:

  1. Place the acrylic washer or plastic disk on the skewer.
  2. Add straw hat (optional) and then the plastic * ball.
  3. Fasten the parts to the plastic * ball. Place plastic, wood, and leather/rope (or plastic Paulie Rope) in and through the holes in the plastic * ball.
  4. Add more toys (rings, beads, etc.) on the skewer above the plastic * ball. You can add more plastic * balls too.
  5. Hang the toy beside your bird's perch.

PLASTIC * BALL TOY INSTRUCTIONS
  1. First get the supplies. 
    Need: 
    1) BALL -- plastic ball (golf ball size),
    2) ROPE -- several feet of rope or lace
        (Paulie Rope or Leather Laces),
    3) BEADS -- beads -- wood or plastic
        -- some round beads and some
            straw beads
  2. It will look like this:
    XX=O^^^^^O=XX--
                --plastic ball--
                           --XX=O^^^^^O=XX

    X = knot     
    O = bead - wood and/or plastic bead
    ^^^^^ = straw bead with spring over it
    Spring is optional.
    --plastic ball--   = ball in the middle
    White plastic ball.
     
  3. START with four pieces of rope
    (each about 2 feet long). 
  4. KNOTS - Tie two knots (side by side) in the end of the ropes.
  5. BEADS - String a small wood or plastic bead and then a straw bead on the rope. 
  6. SPRING - String a plastic spring over the straw bead. 
  7. KNOTS - Tie more knots on the end of the rope (just after the bead) to keep the bead on.
  8. REPEAT three times (to have four strings = eight strands on the wiffle ball).
  9. THREAD EACH STRING INTO THE BALL.  Repeat steps 4 - 7 on each rope.
  10. OPTIONAL.  If you want you can add more strings with beads.
  11. OPTIONAL.  Use extra Paulie Rope to make a hanger or string on a skewer (Chewable Hanger).

GAME AND TOY SUGGESTIONS 
Game Suggestion: 
1. Plastic* Ball Basketball -- Use a cup or dish for the basket.  Select ball size for your bird.
2. Plastic* Ball Bowling -- Place plastic* balls on the top of a flat or arched top cage (with your bird inside the cage).  Teach your bird to knock them off the cage while you cheer her on!!

Toy Making Suggestion:  
SPIDER TOY:  String leather laces through the holes and add beads and wood pieces.  
PUZZLE TOY: Stuff beads in the softball sized plastic* ball.
